Giammalva Properties, Inc., established in 1978, has built a strong reputation as real estate land broker, developer, and investor over the past 47+ years in the Houston area.  GPI’s longevity and success speaks to the honesty and integrity with which it represents its clients.  The majority of GPI’s transactions have been within 50 miles of the Central Business District, which indicates our focus and concentration in the greater Houston real estate market.  GPI serves as broker for all its land investment and development partnerships.

Vincent A. Giammalva, a native Houstonian, graduated from St. Thomas High School in 1980 and from the University of Texas at Austin in 1985. Vincent holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Economics.  Vincent worked in commercial real estate with a national firm and then joined GPI in 1989. With over 35 years of experience, Vincent has been involved with over $500 million in land sales transactions. As both a real estate developer and broker, Vincent understands the risk associated with each transaction. He serves as General Partner in all real estate investments and takes an active role in the purchase, ownership, and disposition of each investment.  A thorough due diligence assessment is performed for each prospective deal prior to any financial commitment. Vincent and his wife Sally, are active in the Houston community and have two children.

Charles J. Giammalva, Sr., a fourth generation Houstonian and graduate of University of Houston and St. Thomas High School started Giammalva Properties, Inc. in 1978. Charles is enjoying his retirement.

Jack W. Giammalva, a native Houstonian, graduated from Memorial High School in 2017 and holds a Bachelor of Liberal Arts Degree in Economics from The University of Texas (2021).  Jack worked at Benchmark Bank (Houston) as an analyst for 3 years, financing deals heavily concentrated in commercial real estate in Houston, Dallas and Austin. Jack joined GPI in 2024 as an Associate.

Charlene D. McCartney
Office and Accounting Manager

Charlene D. McCartney, a native Houstonian, has over 37 years of experience in the commercial real estate business. Charlene began her real estate career spending 8 years at GJR Investments/Private Mini Storage working in accounting, finance and construction/development.  Charlene has worked over 29 years with GPI in accounting and treasury functions, along with property management, land conveyance and acquisition due diligence, construction, and development.

Susan S. Harsley (Susie), a Baylor University honor graduate, earned her Bachelors of Business Administration in Accounting.  Susie is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) registered in the State of Texas. Susie serves in the accounting, tax, treasury, and property management functions at GPI.
